I am an endangered species trapped in this body. My biology is a joke … a construction, a believe … Incompletely transcribed, from the memory of my evolutionary potential. My body doesn’t fit into the territories I belong to. Like my gender doesn’t fit the social patterns I grew up with. … I belong to this place, I don’t belong to any place.This is my wilderness. I am space. I am at home here, I am a stranger everywhere. I am civilized, I am afraid. I am legal, moral, protected by social agreements of fear I am separated from ... danger, failure, escalation My comfort feels wrong enough to have the desire to have to much blood in my head. Johanna Kirsch experimentiert in ihrem künstlerischen Prozess mit individuellen Ausdrücken von Konzepten wie Autonomie und Freiheit und versucht einen genaueren Blick auf die Dynamiken und Grenzbereiche dieser Konzepte zu werfen. Ihre Auseinandersetzung handelt von der Erforschung von den Zwischenwelten die Selbstbestimmtheit und Selbstdefinition in Wechselwirkung mit sozialen Strukturen im Raum erzeugen und von dem Austesten der Gültigkeit existierender Regeln, Grenzen und Normen.
